SaaS management system
using drones for deliveries
01
Introduction
Vehicles cause about 75% of urban carbon monoxide pollution
Vehicle fossil fuel combustion emits pollutants like carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides causing smog,
lower air quality, and health issues.
Using drones for deliveries can help with:
Reducing the
environmental footprint
Reducing traffic jams
Reducing air pollution
Time inefficiency
Dragonfly is a SaaS management system
using drones for deliveries
02
Benchmark
There are 2 main companies in the market today

Research
Note:
I couldn't access Wing and Flytrex systems. So, I studied other delivery companies without drones and adapted their systems for drones.
Interviews
Hagai
Pizza delivery manager
It is important for him to know:
Exact time of order placement
Tracking capabilities
Customer contact details
Ariel
Manager of a successful store on Amazon
It is important for him to know:
The percentage of deliveries that arrive on time
The percentage of shipments that reach customers
Average shipping prices
Examination
I researched two delivery management software:
“Wolt” and “Yango deli”, and through a delivery person,
I obtained screenshots of the two systems.
Marco
Delivery person
The application has 4 screens that describe:
Collection
Arrival at the customer
Handover
Return to the warehouse
Screenshots from applications that the delivery guy uses:
04
Personas
Ayala
Restaurant owner
Current shipping method costly: fuel, wages, insurance, maintenance. Traffic delays lead to late deliveries, dissatisfied customers.
Painpoints:
Managing a restaurant requires a lot of expenses
Many deliveries are delayed due to traffic jams
Goals:
Save money on current expenses
Optimize the system of deliveries so that they reach the customers on time
Yossi
Delivery employee
Delivery system problems: Workers often miss shifts, food gets cold during delays, customers complain. Many delivery workers are young and change jobs frequently.
Painpoints:
It is difficult to make decisions without accurate tracking of the orders
The workers in the delivery system are unstable and miss days of work
Goals:
Efficient management of orders
Create a stable work system that will always meet the goals
05
Onboarding
To start, the restaurant owner will scan his menu. The system then offers him suggested time calculations for each dish so that he can accurately predict the timing of the delivery. He can alter the times as needed.
06
How Does It Work?
The system has 3 sides:
End user
Client - a business
For example - a restaurant
uses a system to manage the delivery system in his business
Superintendent
Management dashboard for all customers using the system
We will focus on this side
Main user flow:
On a regular basis, the system will calculate the most efficient and fastest route for a shipment to reach the customer.
All the worker has to do is load the packages into the drone.
